An unstable treadmill will be uncomfortable for a dog to use, since it amplifies the feeling of falling. Why Cesar Millan Loves Dog Treadmills

You may or may not have heard of Dog Trainer, or should I say Dog Tamer, Cesar Millan. Cesar’s TV program ‘The Dog Whisperer’ showcases Cesar working with dogs that have severe behavioural issues, and in some cases dogs that are on death row due to aggression or the inability to re-home them.

When Cesar rehabilitates fearful or traumatised dogs, he often takes them to his rehabilitation centre to spend time with other dogs for socialisation. He also works on behaviours by presenting the doggie patient with the object/s of fear whilst running or walking him or her on a dog treadmill.

The idea here is that Cesar redirects the dogs anxious behaviour with the use of exercise.

Dog treadmills are not only limited to use in doggie daycare or other services. They are now affordable enough to have in the home, and are designed to look sleek and slimline to fit in with any decor.

Dog health matters. Are your dogs exercise requirements being met? As dog owners, we want the best for our pet. If you are like me, it fills your heart with joy to see your pooch running around off lead in a park, getting exercise and playing with other dogs.

Unfortunately, during the winter months, or when the weather forcast is rain, gale force winds or snow, giving your dog the exercise that he needs and deserves can be a real challenge.

For one thing, finding other dogs in the park in winter for your pooch to socialise with can be tricky. Furthermore, if you are not a fan of getting covered with muddy paws, or running after your dog and slipping on the wet ground, or simply just getting freezing cold and soaked through, then you will love dog treadmills.

Dog treadmill equipment is perfect to burn off your dogs excess energy during winter, and will also prevent your pooch from getting overweight.

During winter it can be hard to get your dog motivated to go out for a walk in poor weather. Dog Exercise Treadmill | A Tired Dog Is A Happy Dog!

Dog exercise treadmill; a tired dog is a happy dog! If you are a dog lover like me, then you will know that what your pet needs just as much as food and water is exercise. Dog exercise equipment is often the best and most cost effective way to do this, especially if you can’t walk your dog or give him/her a run off lead as much as you would like.

Lets face it, modern life is extremely busy. When I had the joy of owning my first dog I wanted to take her to all of the puppy and dog training classes. You may have thought similarly – Dog Agility classes, Flyball training, ‘teaching your dog new tricks’ classes and more. Does this resonate with you?

The truth is that I just simply didn’t have the time or money to dedicate myself to weekly dog classes with my pooch. Not to knock Dog Trainers – they offer valuable services and make the training really fun for you and your pet.

I decided instead to look at buying a dog exercise treadmill after watching Cesar Millan using them regularly on his TV show ‘The Dog Whisperer’.

To be honest, buying my dog treadmill has been a bit of a life-saver. I love walking my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but if you know anything about this type of breed, you will realise that they need alot of exercise to tire them out and to prevent unwanted behaviours like hyperactivity and digging in the garden!

If you feel that your dog could benefit from a good run on a daily basis, or if your pet has a disability or needs gentle rehabilitation, then a doggie treadmill will be a great tool.
